[origin: WO9320286A1] A ski track maintenance machine for making a ski trail in snow, or for maintaining a ski trail covered by old, hard-packed snow, which ski track maintenance machine comprises a crushing device for loosening the snow and at least one trackmaking device for making a pair of tracks (a, b) in the loosened snow, which ski track maintenance machine is pulled by a suitable tractor device. The crushing device includes two separate units, the first of which is a general crusher, provided with a wide crusher tool unit, for loosening the snow surface of the ski trail, and the second unit is a track base crusher, provided with two parallel crusher tool units arranged at the mutual distance (s) of grooves (a, b) of the pair of tracks, for loosening the bottom snows of the pair of tracks deeper than the loosening depth of the first crushing device unit.
