Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9404782A1] The snap lock is in particular for closing a window, a door or the like, and comprises a base member (10), a latch (5) having a projecting part (6) for engagement with a striking plate (4) and adapted to be displaced from a closing position against a spring power and an actuator device (12) for taking the latch (5) into a retracted opening position, wherein the latch (5) is pivotal in relation to the base member (10) about an axis transverse to the direction of said displacement, the opening position is a position turned out about said axis (7, 9), and a resilient member (19) is arranged to retain the latch (5) in a non-turned-out position parallel to the closing position. The latch (5) and the base member (10) constitute opposite members in a four-link mechanism, the latch (5) being by means of a first hinge (7) hinged at the one end comprising the projecting part (6) to a link (8) which again by means of a second hinge (9) is hinged to the base member (10), the latch (5) being hinged at its other end by means of a third hinge (11) to the actuator device (12) which again by means of a fourth hinge (13) is hinged to the base member (10).
