[origin: WO9423273A1] In a manually operated angle detector with a rotatable and manually movable detector element (3), a sensor (10) scanning it and a magnetic or contactlessly operating locking mechanism for the detector element (3) having a magnetic flux conductor with successive tongues (7) spaced on a concentric line with the axis of rotation of the detector element (3), at least part of the length of the tongues (7) being in a concentric cylindrical surface to the axis of rotation of the detector element (3). Concentrically with this cylindrical surface and at a short radial distance therefrom there are alternate north and south poles of a magnet (8) in the peripheral direction. In addition, the angular distribution of the tongues (7) is the same as that defined by the angle between two adjacent poles or a whole multiple thereof.
