[origin: EP0727385A2] The crane has a vertically adjustable support device mounted on the vehicle frame and consisting of two columns (6) connected together by cross beams (7) and mounted opposite one another at each end of the vehicle either side of the longitudinal axis (5). The guide support (8) having the travelling crab is guided on the cross beams adjustable parallel and inclined to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The support can be raised and lowered through the vertical adjustment of the columns. An extension (12) corresponding to the dimensions of the guide support is set down on the vehicle frame either side of the longitudinal axis and in the transport position of the crane next to the guide support.
