Abstract (en)
The mechanism to give an accurate position to the workpiece fabrics, during stitching, has a clamping peak (35) at the entry and exit sides of the precompression plate (21), with a clamping plate (33) under them. They are moved in synchronisation with the carriage (7) in the X-direction and carry the fabrics in the X-direction with them without slipping. Clamping strips (31, 32) are under the precompression plate (21), on both sides of the needle passage openings (47), moved with the carriage (7) in the X-direction. The clamping plate (33) replaces the fixed laying surface (11) between the fabric movement units (9, 10) and the precompression plate (21). The clamping plates (35) grip under the precompression plate (21) to apply pressure to the lower clamping plates (33). Sliding and guide sections (37) are at the contact surfaces of the clamping plates (35) and the precompression plate (21). The clamping strips (31) are supported by the laying surface (11), to slide on it, with their ends attached to the carriage (7). The gap (a) is adjustable between the clamping plates (33) and the precompression plate (21) to the laying surface (11). The precompression plate (21) has a vertical guide for the fabric pressers (45).
