Abstract (en)
The structure comprises U-section beams (1), open at the top and made in different heights. The beams have the upper edges of their flanges (5) shaped to receive matching covering members (2) giving the beams a box-shaped structure with a very high level of inertia. The covering members are made from vibrated reinforced cement and are shaped both to engage with the upper edge of the beam flanges and to receive self-supporting roofing members erected between the beams. The beams can be used to contain cabling and can be made with a heightened level of fire-resistance.

En assemblant des constituants préfabriqués élémentaires, on réalise des structures telles que des poutres (1) et des piliers, de grande portée. En accouplant l'élément poutre à des voûtes en tôle autoporteuses, on obtient des espaces couverts de grande étendue sans l'aide de poutres principales. Les couvertures ainsi réalisées présentent en haut degré de résistance au feu. <IMAGE>
