[origin: EP0727559A1] The feet (2) on which the frame stands can be raised and lowered in relation to the wheels (3) using a control mechanism (9). At least one step (4) - in the case of several steps, the lowest - is movably mounted. A lifting element (10) lifts off from the ground when weight is applied to the feet. Simultaneously, the step movable by the control mechanism is retracted into the first position. A support frame (7) swivelling with the wheels is swivel mounted on the base frame (6). The control comprises a locking mechanism pivot mounted on the base frame and sliding along the underside of the rotary step at one end. The other end is pressed by a spring (12) on the support frame against the inside of the rotary step.
