Abstract (en)
The electronic engine controller (1) incorporates a functional unit (4) detecting any defect in the controller (2) of the air-conditioning system through which the coolant passes. A switching signal (Sv) for the thermostatic valve is generated by a diagnostic driver circuit (3) as a function of inputs from e.g. the air-conditioning control panel. To adjust e.g. the idling speed of the engine while the vehicle is stationary, an air-conditioning command signal (SAC) and a compressor switch-on signal (SKO) are AND-gated. The valve is opened if a fault signal persists pref. beyond a time limit (dt) while the coolant temp. exceeds a predetermined threshold (TKdef).
Abstract (de)
Bei einem Kühlmitteltemperatur-Regelsystem für die Kühlanlage eines Verbrennungsmotors in Kraftfahrzeugen mit einem elektrisch beheizbaren Thermostatventil, dessen Betriebsweise mittels elektrischer Bestromung in Richtung Kühlerbetrieb hin verschiebbar ist, sind Mittel zur Erkennung eines Defekts einer weiteren den Kühlmitteldurchfluß regelnden Anlage im Kraftfahrzeug vorgesehen. Bei erkanntem Defekt dieser Anlage wird eine Bestromung des Themostatventils vorgenommen. Insbesondere wird bei erkanntem Defekt die Bestromung des Themostatventils derart vorgenommen, daß die Kühlmitteltemperatur unterhalb einer vorgegebenen Kühlmitteltemperatur-Schwelle liegt. Vorzugsweise wird die Erkennung eines Defekts mittels Plausibilitätüberwachung von Ausgangssignalen der Anlage vorgenommen.
