Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9510437A1] Disclosed is a valve assembly for controlling oil pressure of anti-lock brake system (ABS) in an automobile. The valve assembly comprises a first valve chamber which has a port connected to a master cylinder; a second valve chamber which is hydraulically communicated with the first valve chamber and has another port connected to the ABS; a first check valve which is enclosed in the first valve chamber to open or close inlet passage by spring and a pilot pressure; and a solenoid valve which is enclosed in the second valve chamber to open or close a drain passage. The valve assembly may be designed in the other various constructions to be used for the effective blockings of an inverse pressure and an excessive pressure over the necessary value, by the alternative opening and closing of the inlet passage and the drain passage.
