Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0728682A1] The refuse collector vehicle (1) moves the refuse bin (3) from its collection point (A) in front of the vehicle, over the driver cabin (4) to a discharge point (8) near a collector container (5) behind the cab. A lid-opener (6) positioned near the discharge point can be swivelled into different operating positions (I,II) depending on the type and size of the bins being emptied. The lid-opener is connected to a control (7) which has elements (8,9) for emptying refuse bins with pivoting lids (10) or with sliding lids (10'). The control is mounted in the front part of the lid-opener over a bearing (12) and is tensioned by a spring (13).
