The device has a drive, coupled to a lifting mechanism, which moves the rubbish bin (2) from its reception position to a position adjacent the rubbish collection container. An engagement device cooperating with a handling position of each rubbish bin is coupled to a sensor system (5), associated with the drive for the lifting mechanism. Pref. each rubbish bin has a handling rail, the sensor system coupled to a detector (8), with a mechanical or optical sensor element (9), detecting the engagement with the handling rail before operation of the drive.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung 1 zum Schwenken unterschiedlicher Müllbehälter 2 mittels einer mit einer Antriebsvorrichtung verbundenen Hubvorrichtung von einer Aufnahmestelle zu einer im Bereich eines Sammelbehälters liegenden Abgabestelle, wobei die Vorrichtung 1 mit mindestens einem Eingriffselement 3 zum Einlagern in einen Haltebereich 4 des jeweiligen Müllbehälters 2 versehen ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird eine wirkungsmäßige Verknüpfung des Eingriffselements 3 mit einem mit dem Antrieb der Hubvorrichtung verbundenen Sensorsystem 5 hergestellt. <IMAGE>
