[origin: EP0728892A1] The bearing casing has an edge-open recess (16) in which a brake ring at least partly engaging around the bearing pin (3) and a drive pressing the brake ring on the bearing pin are provided. The drive is operable from outside the bearing casing. The brake ring and the drive are successively radially insertable in the recess. The recess is closable by a cover plate. The drive is a brake wedge which on operation causes a displacement or deformation of the brake ring. The adjustment path of the brake wedge occurs in a tangential direction to the bearing pin axis. An adjustment screw penetrates the brake wedge and supports in the recess.
