[origin: EP0728920A2] Method and arrangement for control of an exhaust brake arranged in a combustion engine exhaust pipe whereby the exhaust brake throttle is rotatable between an open position and a closed position and the force applied by an operating device urges the throttle towards a closed position. When the exhaust brake throttle is activated, the operating device acts with a first force (P1) in an initial stage and thereafter with a smaller second force (P2) during the remainder of the time that the exhaust brake is activated. <IMAGE>
