Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0728942A1] The mixture is of fuel and gas, the injection valve being pref. solenoid-operated and having a plug working against a seat at the downstream end. Downstream of the seat is a spray opening, followed by a mixture spray opening. The multipart preparation body (61) comprises a gas-enclosing portion (48) and an insert (60). The latter is downstream of one or more first spray openings (25) and contains the mixture-spray opening (78). A passage (79) in the insert and connected to the latter opening widens in the downstream direction. The gas-enclosing portion is fixed to the insert and to the downstream end of the valve. The enclosing portion can be cup-shaped and of metal, while the insert tapers and is of plastic.
