The converter has a housing (20), contg a circuit board (24), which comprises a waveguide (26) connectable to the circuit board and an HF output also connectable to the circuit board which formed a core module (21) with fitting metal components, insertable into the housing. Pref the core module contains a metal cavity element (22), a metal base element (23), and the circuit board in between. The cavity element individual cavities may form electric circuits with components on the circuit board.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Konverter für eine Satellitenantenne mit einem einen Schaltungsträger (24) aufnehmenden Gehäuse (20), welches einen mit dem Schaltungsträger verbindbaren Hohlleiter (26) und einen mit dem Schaltungsträger verbindbaren HF-Ausgang (28) aufweist. Der Herstellungsaufwand kann dadurch vermindert werden, daß der Schaltungsträger (24) mit angepaßten metallischen Bauelementen (22, 23) ein in sich selbständiges, voll funktionsfähiges, in das Gehäuse (20) einbaubares Kernmodul (21) bildet. <IMAGE>
