[origin: WO9514599A1] A rail mounted transport system has automotive container carriers that circulate between stations. The container carriers have unlockable unloading means (46, 48, 50). The stations designed as receiving stations have at least one stop area and means (26) for receiving the transported goods. Each stop area has a rail section (30) of the same length as the container carrier and with C-shaped rail parts that laterally grip the running wheels of the container carrier. In order to allow the container carrier to be unloaded, the rail section (30) is mounted at one longitudinal side so as to swivel around a swivelling axis (32) and may swivel in the direction of the unloading side.
