[origin: WO9414215A2] Laser device to be used as a continuous wave source of a single-mode and monochromatic radiation in telecommunications of the type including a pump laser (1) suitable to emit a radiation with a wavelength of lambda 1, a resonating cavity (2) and an optical fibre rod (8). The resonating cavity includes at least a first and second mirror (6 and 7), and at least a portion of active material (3, 4; 30) suitable to emit a radiation with a wavelength of lambda 2. The first mirror (6) is highly transparent to the radiation lambda 1 and highly reflecting the radiation lambda 2, and the second mirror (7) is highly reflecting the radiation lambda 2.
