[origin: EP0729800A1] Metallurgical vessels, partic. steel ladles, are lined with a permanent lining (4) of a cast refractory material, applied with the aid of formwork, and attached to the inner wall (5) of the ladle with the aid of anchoring elements (6). A wear lining (3) is applied over the permanent lining. Pref., the permanent lining is compacted and has a thickness of 60-150 mm, increasing in the lower region of the ladle. The anchoring elements pref. have a dovetail-like conformation and are welded to the inside wall of the ladle.
