The grinding tool has a work surface covered with a stuck-on grinding cloth (5) with an elastic padding (4) of eg foam, inbetween. The grinding cloth and pad can be provided as strips. The grinding cloth strip is wider than the padding strip. The underneath of the cloth strip resting on the work surface and of the padding strip can be coated with an activating adhesive.

Bei einem Schleifwerkzeug (1), dessen Arbeitsfläche mit einem Schleifmittel, insbesondere einem aufgeklebten Schleifleinen (5), ausgerüstet ist, ist zwischen der Arbeitsfläche (3) und dem Schleifleinen (5) ein elastisches Polster (4) angeordnet. Der Werkstoff für das Polster ist vorzugsweise Schaumstoff. Das Schleifleinen und das Polster liegen in Form von Streifen vor, wobei der Schleifleinen-Streifen breiter als der Polster-Streifen ist. Das Schleifmittel zur Ausrüstung des Schleifwerkzeugs kann auch so gestaltet sein, daß ein Streifenmittelbereich des Schleifleinen-Streifens mit einem Polster-Streifen beschichtet ist. <IMAGE>
