Abstract (en)
The folding device has runners (10,11). One of these has a holding device (30,27) to secure the position of the material for folding (5-7) radially against it. The positive holding force over the running track and over the working width, and the position relative to the runner body and its tools (22,23,26) can be altered. This makes multiple fold passes possible for the folding unit (8). The control may be mechanical via drives, or through sensors based on suction jets. The runners described here can be fitted to existing folding machines in place of the ones originally fitted to them.

Ein Läufer (10, 11) einer Falteinrichtung (1) weist zur Lagesicherung das zu faltende Material (5 bis 7) radial gegen seinen Umfang heranziehende Haltemittel (30, 27) auf, deren positive Haltekräfte über ihren Laufweg sowie über die Arbeitsbreite und deren Lage gegenüber dem Läuferkörper bzw. an diesem vorgesehene Werkzeuge (22, 23 bzw. 26) verändert werden können, wodurch vielfältige Anpassungsmöglichkeiten an die jeweils herzustellende Falteinheit (8) gegeben sind. Die Steuerung kann mechanisch über Getriebe und/oder über Stellblenden für einen Saugstrom erfolgen. <IMAGE>
