Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0730082A2] This core bit is esp. suitable for rotary impact drilling of e.g. stone, concrete or similar materials. The thin-walled cylindrical cup bit (106) is open-ended towards the cutting end, and has a radial base (20) extending to the axial shaft (101), where it is attached. The principal original feature is in the unusual profiling of the base. Its radial outer contour follows a curved path, with at least one point of inflection.
