[origin: WO9514765A1] An improvement is described in microemulsion compositions more environmentally friendly, which is especially effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and having an evidenced grease release effect, contains an anionic detergent, a partially esterfied ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water which comprises the use of a water-insoluble odoriferous perfume as the essential hydrocarbon ingredient in a proportion sufficient to form a dilute o/w microemulsion composition containing, by weight, 1 % to 20 % of an anionic detergent, 0.1 to 50 % of a cosurfactant, 0.1 to 10.0 % of a grease release agent; 0.1 % to 10 % of an ethoxylated glycerol type compound, 0.4 % to 10 % of perfume and the balance being water.
