Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9515067A1] A sheath for hearing aids is disclosed, as well as hearing aids or parts of hearing aids provided therewith. The sheath is shaped as a tube or bag and is slipped on the hearing aid introduced into the auditory meatus (in the case of internal hearing aids) or on the part of the hearing aid introduced into the auditory meatus (in the case of external hearing aids). The tubular sheath has a variable diameter and thus closely conforms to the wall of the auditory meatus. The tubular sheath serves both to retain the hearing aid in the auditory meatus and to protect the hearing aid from cerumen, etc. Also disclosed is a hearing test device that allows in particular the above-mentioned hearing aids to be individually adapted to a user. With this hearing test device, various sounds or acoustic events may be reproduced or performed. The test person modifies the operational parameters of the hearing aid until an optimum acoustic impression results.
