[origin: EP0730889A2] The device contains a stiffener unit (4) consisting of two parts (4a,b). The parts are pressure-loaded in one direction, and tension-loaded in the other direction, by a power transmission mechanism. This is associated with the regulating mechanism (6), and is operated by a handle. A spring system has a single or a pair of springs, each having a first power transmission element, associated with the second stiffener unit part. The first spring end engages on the element, the second spring end engages on the first stiffener unit part, via a second power transmission element.
