Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0730974A2] The colour band (29) is formed for the identification of marks for control states, whereby the marks enable an authorisation of the colour band material in a control unit including a microprocessor and fixed storage device. At least one valid reference code is stored in the fixed storage device. At least one identification facility (35) is located on the colour band cassette to supply at least a first piece of information about the status of the colour band on the spool to the microprocessor of the control unit.
