Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0731218A1] The system for holding a bridge span in the rear of a vehicle for transportation comprises a fixed assembly supporting a movable assembly. It comprises a system for indexing the movable assembly relative to the fixed assembly into several adjustable positions for the level of the overspan (8) in the rear part of the vehicle. The movable assembly comprises a pivoting sub-assembly allowing the clearance of the movable assembly between the adjustment positions. A second sub-assembly rotating with the first sub-assembly has the indexing system (119). A third sub assembly, rotating with the other two, carries the locking system (93) comprising a locking actuator (100) allowing control between locked and unlocked positions. The locking system has first and second pivoted connectors (91) with one end in the locking actuator rod (101) and the second end engaging with an edge of the overspan.
