[origin: EP0731231A1] The connector has a connecting plate (61) with suitable openings (62) which coincide with guide openings (15) in the profiled strips (60) for connection by screw nuts. The openings (62) in the connecting plate are oblong holes (62) open towards the edge of same. Indentations (67) on the top side of the connecting plate are associated with protrusions on the underneath side of the plate to receive the nut. The connecting plate is made from sheet metal whereby the protrusions and indentations are formed together by a stamp. The height of the protrusions is less than the height of the guide opening (15). The protrusions and/or indentations can each be circular at the closed end of the openings (62)
