Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0731271A2] The fuel injection device has an injection valve (1) with a mixing space (14) for receiving compressed gas from the engine cylinder (3), before injecting the gas mixed with the supplied fuel to the cylinder. The gas exchange between the cylinder and the mixing space is controlled via a piston valve (5), with closure of the latter in dependence on the detected temp. and/or pressure within the mixing space, provided by a sensor element (19,20).
