Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0731330A1] The drum (1) containing several round chambers (3) rotates on a spindle (2). There is a lengthwise feed passage (13) connected at one end (5) of the drum to radial inlet passages (12). Two cooling passages (4) for each chamber and parallel to the drum axis extend for the full length of the bullet-guide portion (3.1) of the chamber, and are connected together via an internal passage (7) in the drum. At the end of the latter, the first and second cooling passages are connected by first and second tangential pipes and respectively via the radial inlet pipe to the feed passage in the spindle, and via an outlet passage (16) parallel to the inlet one to a drain passage (17) in the spindle.
