Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0731331A2] In the position ready for firing, the missile is supported in the firing tube by a guidance mechanism at the rear end. There are also bodies at intervals in the peripheral direction at the forward end, these being discharged from the tube with the missile on firing. Each body has a top section (1) bearing against the inside wall of the tube, and a bottom one (2) bearing against the missile, the two being detachably secured together (3). In each section, electrical contact pins (6,7) insulated from the body are thrust outwards by compression springs (8), so as to stand proud of the section surfaces in the unassembled state. These bear against mating contacts on the missile and the tube, each top pin being electrically connected to a bottom one.
