[origin: EP0731481A1] In the circuit breaker, the opening and closure of each breaking chamber (1-3) are effected by a shaft (7) rotated by a controller (16) via a rod (15) and crank (8'). The axis (9') on which the rods are jointed to the cranks comes into line with the axis (5) of rotation of the housing (4) contg. the shaft, when the contacts of the breaking chambers are in the open position. Each moving contact is operated by a lever (11) pivoted about a fixed axis (12) and jointed to an actuating rod (10) whose other end (9) is raised and lowered by a parallel crank (8).
