[origin: WO9515368A1] A lubricating oil composition comprising a basestock oil and, based on the oil composition, (A) 0.01 to 10 % by weight of oxymolybdenum monoglyceride or oxymolybdenum diethylate amide and (B) 0.5 to 7 % by weight of a metal dithiocarbamate represented by general formula (I), where M represents metal such as zinc, R<1> to R<4> represent C1-C30 oleophilic group at least one of which is a secondary oleophilic group. The composition may also contain (C) 0.01 to 5 % by weight of an organic amide compound. The lubricating oil composition is excellent in wear resistance, exhibiting a low coefficient of friction, capable of improving fuel economy and improved for copper corrosiveness, as well as capable of providing a low coefficient of friction already from the initial stage of operation.
