[origin: EP0732157A1] In a rolling stand with upper and lower sets of work and support rolls, the pressure pieces (10) which contact the roll chocks (5a) have a U-shaped profile with the bridge side (10b) having a flattened dome section contacting the chocks. The movement of the piece (10) towards or away from the chocks is carried out by rotation of shaft (17) via drive (18) which rotates eccentric (16).
