[origin: EP0732202A1] The mechanism is for plates (2) with bent-over ends (3,4). A lever (18) pivots inside the cylinder (1), which contains a narrow axial slot (7) accommodating the plate ends. Tongues (26) fixed to the lever slide in the slot towards the cylinder interior and back, and have hooks (27) engaging in holes (11) in the plate ends. There can be a bending edge at one side of the slot and onto which a chamber (16) joins, extending to the slot mouth. The hooks can spring back into the chamber.
