[origin: EP0732434A1] A crimping machine for synthetic thread arrays, bundles or belts has a pair of rollers and, connecting after them, a compression chamber which comprises two side walls flanking the rollers and two plates aligned parallel to the roller shafts where one swivels at least partly towards the other to reduce the chamber volume. In each of the side walls at the roller gap level a pressure disc acts on the roller end edge surfaces via a, e.g. pressure, adjustment unit. The disc comprises a carrier disc (11) and an abrasion resistant element (12) attached to the carrier.
