[origin: EP0732473A1] The hinge blanks are cut along their common contact line (I) and their crossways running limiting lines (II). A first strip material (24) has a cross-section which corresponds to hinge part blanks (2,2') of the one hinge part turned through 180 deg. or identically boxed one inside the other. A second strip material has a cross-section which corresponds to the two hinge part blanks of the other hinge part turned through 180 deg. or identically boxed one inside the other. The swarf-less division cutting of the two strip materials is effected by two or three-dimensionally controlled beam cutting along the common contact line and the outer limiting lines.
