[origin: WO9608625A1] The invention pertains to a facility to temporarily store driverless, portable motor vehicles in a parking garage and to transfer the driverless vehicles from a transport platform (3) to a parking place and back again, with a device for lifting the vehicle, moving it in its lifted position and setting it down in another location. A longitudinal support (17) that can be moved underneath the vehicle in the longitudinal direction has bearing arms (13, 14, 15, 16) that project at right angles into the region of the vehicle wheels; at least two of said bearing arms can be swung from a position parallel to the longitudinal support into the right-angled projecting position in which they bear with pressure on the underside of the vehicle and lift the vehicle from the floor. Four bearing arms (13, 14) may be used to lift just the front wheels of the vehicle, which is then displaced rolling on its back wheels, or two additional bearing arms (15, 16) are provided so that all four wheels of the vehicle are lifted.
