Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sanitärelement, insbesondere eine Sanitärwanne, mit einem aus einer thermoplastischen Kunststoffplatine geformten Wannenkörper, der auf seiner Außenfläche mit einer Verstärkungsschicht aus einer gieß- und/oder spritzfähigen Kunststoffmasse versehen ist, wobei die Kunststoffmasse der Verstärkungsschicht mit Effektpartikeln versetzt ist.
