[origin: EP0733406A1] A centrifuge consists of an elastically mounted drum (11) and a drive unit (12) which drives the drum using an endless member. A tension relieving unit (19) is used for tension in the member. The endless member is pref. a belt (16). The tension relieving unit is pref. an elastic advancing element (16) which pref. has a spring unit.
