Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0733523A1] The system includes an anti-theft switch (12) for controlling the starting (+DEM) of the vehicle and the supply of various vehicle electric circuits (+ACC,+ALL). A motorised anti-theft device consists of an electric motor (34) driving a locking element (36) between locked and unlocked positions by inversion of the polarity of the supply terminals (A1,A2) supplying the motor. The system further includes a key operated switch (14) for detecting the insertion of the key in the anti-theft switch (12). A control switch with a mobile control contact (16) with multiple positions is used to control the various electrical circuits of the vehicle in sequence. The first supply contact (A1) is connected to a first battery polarity (+BAT) via the key-operated switch when the key has been inserted, but is connected to the second battery polarity in the absence of the key. The system includes an alarm.
