Abstract (en)
The apparatus allows to package confectionery products having various shapes. The apparatus comprises a first rotating unit (24) provided with clamps (26) that grip each product with the wrapping arranged thereon and transfer it to the clamps (48) of a second rotating unit (46). The units are actuated intermittently. During rotation and during the pauses in rotation, appropriately provided fixed and movable folding elements arranged along the path of the clamps (26) of the first unit (24) partially fold the wrapping onto the product, while additional fixed and movable folding elements arranged along the path of the clamps (48) of the second unit (46) close the wrapping around the product. The shape of the folding elements and their arrangement are chosen according to the type of package. <IMAGE>
