Abstract (en)
The tool tensions material in the form of a band, and fastens or cuts it after tensioning. It has tensioning (3,6) and operating (3,9) actuators, and a valve arrangement (17,19) for releasing the pressure supplied to the actuators when it reaches a predetermined value. The arrangement has a changeover valve (19) and a reducing valve (17) which is connected via a throttled (24) supply line (23) to the tensioning actuator, and which can be adjusted to the pressure corresponding to the required band tension. The changeover valve is connected to the operating actuator, and is influenced by the pressure applied to the tensioning actuator and by a spring (33), which both act to release the supply pressure, and by the pressure upstream of the throttle, which acts to reinstate it.

Ein Werkzeug zum Spannen eines Bandes und zum Betätigen eines Bandverschlusses und/oder zum Abschneiden des Bandes am Ende des Spannvorgangs weist einen druckmittelbetriebenen Spannantrieb und einen druckmittelbetriebenen Betätigungsan-trieb sowie eine Ventilanordnung auf, die beim Erreichen eines vorbestimmten Drucks am Spannantrieb die Druckmittelzufuhr zum Betätigungsantrieb freigibt. Eine genau reproduzierbare Bandspannung wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Ventilanordnung ein über eine Druckmittelzufuhrleitung mit dem Spannantrieb verbundenes Reduzierventil umfaßt, das auf den der gewünschten Bandspannung entsprechenden Reduzierdruck einstellbar ist. Die Druckmittelzufuhrleitung enthält eine Drossel. Die Ventilanordnung umfaßt ein mit dem Betätigungsantrieb verbundenes, druckmittelbetätigtes Umschaltventil. Dieses ist im Sinne der Freigabe der Druckmittelzufuhr zum Betätigungsantrieb von dem am Spannan-trieb anliegenden Druck sowie von einer Feder beaufschlagt. Im entgegengesetzten Sinn wird es von dem in der Druckmittelzufuhrleitung vor der Drossel herrschenden Druck beaufschlagt. <IMAGE>
