[origin: EP0733570A2] The separating device is part of a device for winding webs of paper, foil, plastics etc. onto at least one roll (5). There is a first roller (4) contacting the outer surface of the roll, and a holding device (73-82) round the roller, able to turn round it, controlling a wire or similar acting on the web (1) after the winding process. The holding device is concentric to the first roller, and has at least one holder (73) which can be altered in the radial direction. The holder facing each endface of the first roller consists of two parts (75,76). There is a pressure cylinder (79) between these two parts to push one of them (75) relative to the other (76).
