[origin: DE19512929C1] The rolling stand for sheet and strip rolling incorporates top and bottom working rolls which together with their respective support rolls are horizontally displaceable in such a way that their axes (no longer remaining in a common vertical plane) cross one another. Each journal (5, 6) of the working rolls (4) in a self-aligning bearing (11) is housed in an eccentric sleeve (10) in the mounting block (3). Each sleeve (10) is rotatable in an opposite sense relative to the other sleeve (10). At the same time, the crossing angles of the top and bottom roll sets are equal to one another.
