The appts. incorporates a plug operating mechanism (10,12)which together with its computer-controlled electromechanical drive (13) is housed in a box module (15). This module is exchangeably fixed to the casting ladle by means of clamping elements (16). The drive motor is connected to a control unit via plug contacts (37), so that the plug motion during casting is exclusively controlled by electrical signals from this unit to the drive motor.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Regeln eines Metallzuflusses aus einem Giessgefäss (2) in eine Giessform (3) soll mittels einem heb- und senkbaren Stopfen (5) der Metallzufluss nach einem vorbestimmten Programm und/oder mittels einer Badspiegelmesseinrichtung (7) gesteuert werden. Um bei einer solchen Vorrichtung jegliches manuelles Eingreifen an einem Stopfenregulierhebel bei Giessbeginn oder Störfällen etc. zu eliminieren, soll eine Hubstange (10) mit ihrer vertikalen Führung (12) und mit ihrem rechnergesteuerten elektromechanischen Antrieb (13) in einem Modulkasten (15) angeordnet werden. Der Modulkasten (15) selbst ist am Giessgefäss (2) mit Spannelementen (16) auswechselbar befestigt. Vor Giessbeginn soll im weiteren der Stopfenantriebsmotor (13) mittels elektrischen Steckverbindungen (37) mit dem Steuerschrank (34) verbunden werden. Ab Giessbeginn ist die Stopfenbewegung ausschliesslich über den elektrischen Antrieb (13) und dieser durch elektrische Signale steuerbar. <IMAGE>
