Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0734801A1] The appts. incorporates a plug operating mechanism (10,12)which together with its computer-controlled electromechanical drive (13) is housed in a box module (15). This module is exchangeably fixed to the casting ladle by means of clamping elements (16). The drive motor is connected to a control unit via plug contacts (37), so that the plug motion during casting is exclusively controlled by electrical signals from this unit to the drive motor.
