[origin: EP0734821A2] The machine for cutting a slot in a wall has two handles (9,10) on a housing (1) containing a drive (2) for the cutting disc (25). It pivots about one end of a trolley (3) in a bearing (6) against the force of a spring (7). At the other end of the trolley is a stop (8) used for locking the housing so that a defined depth of cut is given working with a latch operated by a switch (11) in the front handle. Both handles have cylindrical formers (12,13) at right-angles to the plane of the cutting disc and parallel to each other. The switch (5) for the drive is in the rear handle. The width of the housing is up to twice the width of the handles.
