Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0734822A2] The machine for cutting a slot in a wall has two handles (9,10) on a housing (1) containing a drive (2) for the cutting disc (5). It pivots about one end of a trolley (3) in a bearing (6) against the force of a spring (7). At the other end of the trolley is a rail (17) used for locking the housing so that a defined depth of cut is given. The housing has a latch (12) operated by a switch in one of the handles. The boss (18) marking the depth of cut has an arm (28) protruding upwards with which the latch works. The arm is made from spring steel.
