Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0734997A1] The jack (1) has a strut (2) and a lever arm (4) mounted to pivot at one end on the strut. The other end of the lever arm has a head (5) to engage under the vehicle to be lifted. A control screw (6) moves the lever arm and connects the latter with the strut. The screw turns in a nut pivoted on the strut and connected at one end to the lever arm. The jack head is in alignment with the screw. The head has a cylindrical surface (55) against which the end of the screw bears during movement of the jack.
