[origin: DE19511988C1] A section of a press for a paper machine with press unit(s) and an assembly following the unit has the following features: (a) the unit comprises two press devices which form a gap; (b) the devices (1,2,3) are wound round by a strainer or felt belt; and (c) a direction changing roller (10) over which one of the belts, i.e. a donor belt (5), runs, is mounted so it can have position adjusted and the donor belt, conveying the web from the gap to a receptor belt of the following assembly, runs over a receptor appts. (8) at the transfer point. The receptor appts. comprises a guide element (8a) not under suction and a suction element (8b) which follows the first. The position of the direction changing roller can be adjusted so either the donor belt comes in contact only with the element not under suction or with both elements one after the other.
